Our Story
Kaprichos Café was founded by a Colombian immigrant family who carried with them more than just suitcases — they brought their love for food, coffee, and the dream of sharing it with the world.
Hailing from the lush coffee region of Colombia, our family grew up surrounded by tradition, flavor, and hospitality. When we arrived in the United States, we wanted to create a space that felt like home — a place where Colombian culture could be celebrated and shared.
At Kaprichos Café, every dish is a tribute to our roots. From arepas made fresh each morning, to empanadas, ajiaco, and the aroma of freshly brewed Colombian coffee, we pour our hearts into everything we serve.
We are more than a café — we are a family, and we welcome
you to be part of it.

The Heart Behind Kaprichos Café
Daniel and Maricela are the proud founders of Kaprichos Café — a dream that began with a suitcase full of recipes, a deep love for Colombian culture, and the courage to build something special from the ground up.
Originally from Colombia’s beautiful coffee region, Daniel and Maricela came to the U.S. with a vision: to create a warm, welcoming place where people could experience the true flavors and hospitality of their homeland. After years of hard work, sacrifice, and unwavering dedication, that dream became a reality.
From waking up early to prep ingredients by hand, to staying late ensuring every customer leaves happy, Daniel and Maricela pour their hearts into every detail. Their passion is contagious, and it shows in everything — from the perfectly crispy empanadas to the rich aroma of fresh-brewed Colombian coffee.
Their number one priority?
Quality and dedication. Every dish is made with love, every customer treated like family.
Kaprichos Café isn’t just a restaurant — it’s their life’s work, and they’re so grateful to share it with you.
